In our approach it is imperative that the patient education portion and self-care strategies be included. Our main priority is to help you with your problem, but more importantly, we need to teach you how to keep it from coming back. During your treatment we will teach you about your pain, help you to not be afraid of it, and teach you how to move your body in a way that keeps the issue from returning. In nearly 100% of cases involving muscle or joint pain there needs to be some level of strengthening exercise education. If you are currently exercising we will make sure you are doing the right exercises for your current situation and your maximal level of ability. If you are not currently exercising we will give you three or four of the most important ways to spend your time and energy in this area of your life.
